About the Role: We are looking for a New Product Development (NPD) Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget and scope . You will lead a cross-functional project team to gain approval for and launch new products, leveraging best practice project management methodologies.

This position will be located at our facility in Flagstaff, Arizona, with work from home days possible as part of a hybrid arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.*

Responsibilities:
  • Employ project management best practices to lead the project team in detailed planning and execution of the project to include successful project transition from development to product launch and commercialization ensuring the final product meets all product and process design requirements and business objectives
  • Lead team members and subject matter experts in project risk management, uncertainty planning, and managing issues effectively within the timeline
  • Ensure product and process technical uncertainties are identified, prioritized, and resourced, and resolved
  • Provide leadership to the NPD team to ensure product meets testing requirements; this includes coordinating/integrating across technical teams to confirm required data is delivered timely and accurately and all justifications are addressed
  • Coordinate with Clinical Affairs and Regulatory Affairs stakeholders to establish and meet commitments to timelines and coordinate regulatory activities
  • Collaborate with the Operations Leader and Supply Chain Leaders to build a robust supply chain to meet business objectives by ensuring manufacturing and suppliers are properly equipped to meet requirements for process capability and capacity to accommodate projected sales growth
  • Engage effectively with Product Specialists, Marketing, Provider Sales Organization, Field Sales, end to end Supply Chain, Finance, and other key functions to drive launch readiness activities
  • Integrate and maintain a project master schedule and successfully manage the critical path through prioritization and trade-off decisions to meet project commitments
  • Provide input to or lead performance and development process for project team members and influence or grow high contributing associates
  • Foster an inclusive, healthy team environment in alignment with the Gore Culture; facilitate resolution of interpersonal and team performance issues within the team and escalate issues to business leaders, functional leaders, and decision makers

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, or Bachelor's degree with professional experience in technical functions
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a technical leadership role within NPD projects or sub-projects
  • Experience working on an NPD team within the medical device field with knowledge of Medical Device Regulatory requirements
  • Solid knowledge of engineering fundamentals, project management tools, methodologies and practices, fitness-for-use and the ability to apply this knowledge to manufacturing, testing, product design, and technology development
  • Demonstrated technical depth with Gore products
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interface with a variety of audiences (leaders, peers, and team members)
  • Strong business acumen including demonstrated track record of clear decision making and ability to facilitate organizational alignment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate ambiguity, resolve conflict, build teams, and influence cross functionally without direct authority
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in all phases of the project lifecycle particularly in product commercialization preparation
  • Demonstrated capability in MS Project
  • Experience developing and launching medical devices for regions outside the US
